what's right for you?
Here are six ways to use crystals during your meditation or mindfulness practice to make their effects even more powerful. Let's find the one for you.

let's get personal
The ways in which you interact with your crystals and experience their benefits are very personal. Maybe you're a meditation machine with rose quartz and prefer to sleep with amethyst under your pillow. You might find that you prefer one method for one and something totally different with another. As with most things in crystal work, trust your intuition and keep focused on your intention.
Holding stones or placing them on chakras can help clear energy blocks and bring about change.
Give your crystal a job by setting your intention. Hold your crystal and visualize your intention coming true. Feel the emotions it brings. Hold your crystal as often as possible. Each time you're conscious of it, try to connect back to the emotions associated with your intention. Allow the stone to help you maintain that emotion and amplify it's energy. The more you can be in alignment with these feelings, the sooner your intention will appear in your life.
Holding a particular stone while meditating can enhance your connection to your intention.
Close your eyes and quiet your mind. Hold the stone you want to work with (or set it nearby), and imagine its energy permeating your body and soothing your mind. As you exhale, feel your energy transfer into the stone. As you inhale, feel it return stabilized and enhanced.
Create an altar to give your intentions a physical place to exist.
Don't worry, nothing fancy required. A shelf or tabletop work great. Smudge the area, by burning sage or sacred herbs. Allow the smoke to cleanse the energy of the space. Get clear on your intention, choose the crystals that align with purpose, and arrange them intuitively.
Soaking in the tub with crystal energy beats bubbles any day.
Add a few crystals aligned with your intentions into your bath — amethyst or rose quartz are both great for this ritual. Before getting in, take a few deep, cleansing breaths, close your eyes, and meditate on your intention. Get in and soak up the positive energy.
A crystal grid is simply arranging stones to harness the power of sacred geometry. It's not only a meditative practice, but can also increase the effectiveness of your crystal work.
Choose a space for your grid and clear the energy by smudging (burning sage or other sacred herbs). Set your intention, then choose the crystals that will support it. Decide which sacred geometry grid calls to you, and place your crystals in the pattern, keeping your intention in mind. The “master” crystal should be set in the center of your grid.
Keeping crystals next to your bed, or even under your pillow, is an easy way to connect to their energies while you sleep. Calming stones like amethyst are great for this one.
Just before bed, visualize the crystal’s energy, and the deep sleep you know it will give you. Place the stone next to your bed or under your pillow, and connect to the emotion of rest, calm and peace.
